My Review:
So, I’d pretty much fallen in love with Troy in the first book. He was caught in such a difficult situation, but he handled it mostly with grace and forgiveness. To see the aftermath of that first book through his eyes was a revelation. Lizzie was just one hundred percent spitfire. These two together are the definition of what happens when you mix fire and gasoline: their chemistry was explosive. Navigating their relationship wasn’t going to be simple, especially in a small town where everybody’s private life was public knowledge. But I loved watching this pair find their footing as something more than simply former in-laws, and then finally moving confidently into their future. I detect another second-chance on the horizon of this series, so I’m anxiously counting down until the next book becomes available.
