Secure My Heart Book 1
Lust at first sight isn't meant for workmates...
* Jennifer *
I know security. I live and breathe it, every single day. When you join my team, you better be the best of the best, or you won't survive your first month. I have big goals and I play dirty, pushing everyone, even the newbies, to their absolute limit.
Dane Crown was out of his depth the moment he stepped into my boardroom.
* Dane*
I'm the best at what I do, and I make sure everyone knows it. I can't be shamed into an apology, and I damn sure won't take failure lying down. If you set me up, you better know when to run for cover.
Jennifer Jones thinks she can intimidate me into quitting. She's about to meet her match, in and out of the bedroom.
Read the new book in Tracey Pedersen's Secure Your Heart series, today. Full of sassy characters, hot romance, and forbidden lust, this book will have you begging for the rest of the series...

My Review:
The beginning of this book was a bit bumpy for me. I DID NOT like Jennifer at first. She starts this book as a b*tch on wheels. There are lots of powerful women CEOs who have figured out how to get respect from the male executives in their industries without behaving this way, so Jennifer rubbed up against all my hot buttons. Especially when it seemed to be our sweet, charming hero she was aiming all her nastiness at. But, as I’m constantly being reminded, love and hate aren’t opposites. They both carry all kinds of passion and it was easy to see that in play between Dane and Jennifer. I loved watching these two fight their attraction to one another and I loved it even more when they finally gave in. It feels like there’s a chunk of story missing between the last two chapters. I want to know the details of solving their mystery, that part of the story is important to me. I’m irked that I don’t get it and I leave this book feeling slightly unresolved because that plot point is so open-ended still. However, I loved watching all their families interact with one another. It sounds like holidays for this pair are going to be a three-ring circus. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author.
