The knocks are incessant.
One of them even brought me a rose.
This is anything but a vacation.

My Review:
I’m rounding up from 3.5 stars, this story left me with some very mixed reactions. For every thing I liked about the book, there was at least one thing that kind of turned me off. I liked Ashley and I think I can understand what was behind her reactions, but I was very frustrated by the way she behaved so much younger than her actual age. Her family kind of baffled me too. I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised that she acted like a teenager since they all treated her like a child still. I think my biggest issue was with the supporting cast. It felt like they were supposed to be quirky and funny, but I was left feeling uncomfortable and weirded out by most of them. On the up side, the story made me laugh out loud, a lot. Even though it was a lot like rubbernecking at the scene of an accident where you’re left wondering “oh no, did I really just see that?” However, I am intrigued to see where this is going to go next. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book through Foreword PR & Marketing.
