A Family Affair Book 3

Jessica Roads, the Social Media Coordinator for the Miami Dolphins, spent a year with the wrong man. While at a local watering hole, she runs into her ex, with his wife. She’s over him, but wants to drive the point home, so when her best friend dares her to kiss the next man who walks through the door, Jessica is all over it.

Don’t dare me…

Nolan Greer, the new Offensive Coordinator for the Miami Dolphins, has had a rough couple of years. After a knee injury, he contemplated retiring. However, he made the decision when he found out he was the father of a one-year-old little girl with a birth defect that needs surgery, and her mother jut died. All Nolan wants is to get to know his daughter without being in the public eye. He never meant to keep her a secret…but no one knows he has a child.

Sparks flew the moment Jessica and Nolan kissed, but it immediately tosses them into a media frenzy, putting Nolan and his daughter in the middle of it, while someone is trying to destroy Jessica’s reputation.

Can Nolan dare to risk his heart…and his daughters?

Can Jessica dare to trust another man who’d kept a secret from her?

My Review:

Love at first kiss? I can see it happening. Especially with chemistry as combustible as what's between Jessica and Nolan. Neither one of them is very trusting of the opposite sex, and they have both have heaps of baggage to how they come by that mistrust honestly. Jessica was played by a married man, never knowing that she was the other woman until she meets his wife. Transparency in a relationship is a big deal for her. Nolan's fought long and hard to keep his private life out of the public eye. He's leery of reporters in all their forms. And yet, these two unlikely allies bond during a media crap-storm that was set in motion to take them down. I loved watching Nolan interact with his daughter, really, with his whole family. You can see the love and care they have for one another in their every word and action. Jessica is such a mix of contradictions with her love of dares and her passion for her job. And I really loved the sassy, witty banter between them. I was clutching my sides laughing on more than one occasion. These two are made to go through hell for the public's entertainment and they handle it with grace and flair. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.
