Dawson Brothers Book 5

Me and my brothers have a reputation around town.

And it ain’t a good one.

We’re not so bad, though. Working hard for our father’s ranch by day and chasing skirts by night.

It’s what Texas cowboys do.

But someone is trying to mess with our crops, and when I find him, he’s gonna wish I hadn’t.

We need help, and as always, help arrives. This time in the form of a sexy strut and a sweet, innocent attitude.

A beautifully uptight college research assistant is the last thing I need but the first thing I’ll take.

And she wants to keep things hot and casual while we figure things out.

Feels like a win-win to me.

Long nights with nothing but her boots on and up in the air. That’s what I’m talking about.

But things change. For me.

Never have I thought of myself as a romantic, but this nerdy girl from town has my blood pumping and heart racing.

Maybe it’s not just lust. Lucky thing.

These are stand-alone stories that can be read as such. It's a better experience to read them in order, but not necessary. Enjoy the HEA!

My Review:

First of all, I love that there are more Dawsons for us to read about. And since the fathers are a set of three brothers, there might even be one more ranch full of Dawsons out there for us to find. (My fingers are crossed for after we’re done with this batch.) Tanner is the intellectual of the family. He can hold his own under the physical stresses of ranch life, but he has an academic’s soul. Madison is a scientist and researcher. She sees no benefit to much of anything outside her lab. So, what happens when the academic farmer and the lady scientist have to team up to stop the blight that’s killing crops around their town? We get fireworks. The only thing that would have made this story better is if there was more about how the law was going to punish the person poisoning the crops. Otherwise, this book has everything I love most in a Paker novel. There’s emotion, drama, tension, and loads of steamy heat. I can’t wait to read about the next Dawson to fall. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author.
