The Risk Series: A Bree and Tanner Thriller Book 4
The wedding is two weeks away
If they survive until then…
Following a fire at the New Journeys women’s shelter, Deputy Tanner Dempsey is on high alert, and his fiancée, Bree Daniels, fears that one of the shelter’s clients is being targeted. Outmanned and outgunned, Tanner and Bree must make a last stand for justice and unravel the twisted plot of a dangerous sociopath. Will it be “’til death do us part” before they can say “I do”?

My Review:
I feel slightly bereft that we’ve come to the end of this series. And what an end it is. I’m at a total loss for words. The sweet silliness at the beginning of the story sucked me in and before I knew it, I was up to my eyebrows in intrigue, betrayal, and life-threatening action. Once again, Bree and Tanner show us why they’re perfect together. Their strengths dovetail to support each other’s weaknesses and in the heat of the moment they’re capable of reacting as if they shared a single mind. The closing scenes are utterly precious and I was left desperately blinking back tears before I turned into an ugly-crying mess. I hate saying goodbye to Bree and Tanner. I hope we get to come back and visit again sometime in the future. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author through NetGalley.
