It's All in the Whiskey Book 8

Irish Whiskey left his cousins farm years ago to join the Army and he never looked back. That was until he gets a phone call from one of his relatives informing him that one of the many broken hearts he left behind showed up at Whiskey Ranch claiming to be carrying his child.

And she won’t leave until he comes back and decides if he wants to be a father, or he’s going to do what he’s always done—run from his responsibilities.

Lorelei Sheldon knew the second the sexy Special Forces officer walked into her diner she was in trouble. But she hadn’t expected it to be the kind of trouble that would change the course of her entire life. With no way of reaching him, except through his family’s ranch in Buhl, Idaho, Lorelei packs up her things and sets off to find the man who she knows without a doubt she wants to start a life with, but also understands he might want nothing to do with her.

But she has to try. She owes it to their unborn child.

My Review:

This story is a sweet, angsty, emotional family drama, as only the Whiskeys can make them. They may have loving hearts as big as the sky over their ranch, but that doesn’t mean that the Whiskeys escaped without scars. Between his parents and a toxic ex-girlfriend, Irish got a double shot for his trouble. Lorelei’s a relationship survivor too. Her ex-husband left her heart battered and bruised, and now she’s sure she’ll never trust it in the care of another. But when a one-night stand before Irish ships out results in a complication neither one of them thought possible, can these wounded souls find it in their hearts to trust one another? Irish is so sweet and caring and protective. I fell in love with him immediately. Lorelei’s a pricklier character, and while I liked her from the start, it took a bit more for me to fully love her. When these two ‘worked’, my heart sang with happiness, but when they didn’t, I despaired of ever seeing their happily ever after. I adored the journey this book took them on, and I can’t wait until the next chance I get to come back to the Whiskey Ranch and spend time with these characters again.

I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book through InkSlinger PR.
