When Harry honors his friend’s final wishes and becomes guardian to his friend’s widowed sister, he had no idea what to expect. He is pleasantly surprised and quickly mesmerized by the beautiful young woman. He needs to make certain she will be cared for financially and emotionally when she inherits her family’s wealth. Even though he isn’t of her social standing, he can’t bring himself to stop the feelings he’s developing for her, or entertain the idea of another man becoming her husband.

My Review:
This was not my cup of tea. When I read romance, I’m most interested in the developing relationship between the leading couple. I felt like there were too many other people involved in their relationship. I also didn’t see enough page time with Harry and Rose together for me to fully believe in their connection. And in terms of the power exchange aspect of this story, I was very uncomfortable with the discipline being meted out by people other than our hero. It worked for Harry and Rose. I can see it working for a lot of other readers. I just am not the target audience for this particular story. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book through Booksprout.
