Sunshine State Book 4
She’s a stiff psychotherapist who grew up too fast. He’s an eternal child—who might be a psycho.
Psychotherapist and feminist author Allison Connors has built a name around teaching women by example they can be happy without a man. If her clients find out she’s captivated by fitness life coach Jay Johnson, her professional credibility will be in danger. It’s bad enough that his ridiculous muscles make him an eye-rolling cliché—but the man insists on stretching her definition of sanity. Why does he have to make it so difficult to stay away from him? And can Allison resist him in order to seize the best promotional opportunity of her life?
Life coach Jay Johnson has lived many incarnations in one lifetime. He’s done it all—twice—and now teaches others how to find health and joy. In spite of his success, he’s missing something that will allow him to return to the bliss of boyhood he always seeks. Nobody understands why he would want Allison Connors, a self-proclaimed man hater, but Jay has his reasons. However, Jay’s past holds a secret. If he insists on pursuing Allison, he could destroy her career.
As Jay’s relentless joy of living coaxes Allison to rediscover childhood, she is forced to question everything she’s based her professional life on. And when dreamy memories from Jay’s past collide with nightmares from the present, he has to make decisions about growing up.
This hilarious romantic comedy will make you laugh, face-palm, and roll your eyes with a smile page after page. But it will also surprise you with heartwarming moments and inspiration to embrace a little craziness in your life.

My Review:
Brightest light of heaven! I don’t know which I want to do more, take the pair of them and shake them to try and knock some sense into their stubborn heads or hug them tight and promise that everything would be okay. Jay and Allison had become two of my favorite secondary characters in the previous books. I could already feel the chemistry between them when we saw them interact there and I was dying to see what would happen if they were put together for a longer period of time. I never expected the complicated history these two have that makes their story both humorous and poignant. Looking at the seeds that have been left for the next story, I can’t wait to see what’s going to grow there. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.
