Chicago Heartbreakers Book 2

From the author of First Base comes the second swoon-worthy romance in the Chicago Heartbreakers series.

Legendary quarterback Nolan Hill has one last shot at a Super Bowl, but it means rehabbing the old injury that's threatening to end his career. When he meets his new physical therapist, Lottie Thompson, his guard goes up. This beautiful and infuriating woman says he needs a new game plan—and stubborn Nolan isn't willing to concede.

Charlotte "Lottie" Thompson has turned a love of football into a successful career as a physical therapist. When Lottie gets her dream job with the Chicago Bobcats, she's assigned to work with Nolan--and the two immediately clash. But neither will back down, and the more time they spend together, the more these sworn enemies realize that the sparks between them aren't hatred, but something else entirely...

My Review:

I am so happy to be able to come back to this world of the author’s. Let me start out by saying how much I loved Lottie and Nolan together. But holy moly! Did this pair ever make me question whether or not they were going to get their Happily Ever After. Lottie’s carrying so much emotional baggage from the way she grew up. And Nolan’s finding it hard to get out of his own head to embrace the way his life’s about to change. It may have looked like hate at first sight between these two, yet they’re another couple proving that love and hate aren’t opposites. I loved watching them cheering and supporting each other to be their best selves. And that ending was absolutely stinking adorable. I can’t wait to see what they author brings us next from her Chicago players.

I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley.
