Sometimes in Love Book 2

IT’S TIME TO FLIRT WITH A MAN IN A KILT

Cassie Crow, a pop-culture reporter for a TV talk show, is focused on becoming a “serious” journalist. But when she stumbles into a kilted Highlander with a killer accent, Cassie decides that taking one night off from work and spending it with a sexy Scot couldn’t hurt. . .

Logan Reid has built a career on his charm, hosting a series of off-the-wall hijinks on the Web. But when the Scottish prankster meets the all-American, equal parts intelligent and irresistible Cassie, Logan realizes that one night of fun won’t be enough. Could it be that this career-focused, commitment-phobic couple is finally ready to take a chance at true and lasting love?

My Review: I’ve gotten into the bad habit of reading books without completely reading the blurb – sometimes not even reading it at all. So, when I got to the scene that suggested we were about to be in for a time travel romance, my only thought was “oh no, what have I gotten myself into?” I learned quickly that what I’d gotten into was a complex emotional roller-coaster ride that swung me from hysterical giggles to nearly bawling my eyes out. Cassie is a driven professional woman who’s very aware that her reputation can make or break her media career. If Logan weren’t so mischievous, he’d be the perfect brooding Gothic hero; complete with personal tragedy he hasn’t recovered from. These pair of opposites strike sparks off each other from the first moment we see them together, and then ever moment after that. Their chemistry is incendiary, and it pulled me deep into their story. I was quickly invested in trying to figure out how it could possibly work out. Now I’m hooked on the stories of these women and I can’t wait to see how they all get their happy ever afters. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book through NetGalley.
