A compelling novel filled with everyday hero stories from Lyz Kelley, the award-winning author of Blinded.
Billionaire Weston Carver gets what he wants.
And he wants the savvy Courtney Kramer to run his newly acquired business.
Courtney wants nothing to do with the sexy and powerful New York influencer. His domineering nature drives her crazy, but if she’s going to avoid losing the women’s shelter building lease, she needs a financial backer to secure a loan.
Weston has the money and means to support a half dozen charities, and co-signing a loan? No problem. But what will he want in return?
Time is running out. If she wants to continue helping women in need, she must make a deal with the uber hot CEO—a deal that doesn’t include her in his bed.

My Review:
Weston and Courtney have hearts bigger than any others. The wounds and scars they’ve received from their pasts have pushed them to give of themselves to the people around them. Those same scars have also caused them to hide their true selves from all but a very select trusted few individuals. It killed me to watch these two thinking the worst of each other when they jumped to conclusions and reacted from those wounded places. I loved seeing them both learn to check those reactions, to trust one another with their truths, and come together in the end. There’s still a bunch of the extended friends and family I want to read more about. It also appears that I was incorrect. You don’t have to read this book before being able to appreciate Doctor’s Secret. The events that play such an important part of that book have already happened before this book starts and they aren’t covered here in any depth. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.
